Join Ms. Meghan for a week of creating funcitonal art - from tote bags and tops to ceramic cups! Ms. Meghan is the founder of Create Space and a fiber artist. She has been exploring functional art and folk art for decades because she loves the creative stamp people put on everyday objects. Everyone is creative, and everyone deserves beautiful things in their everyday life.

This camp will focus on fiber arts like weaving and dyeing, and some ceramics. Each project will be put in cultural context with books about artists and art history, and there will be adaptations to help all campers find success. While some projects might include an invitation to sew and stitch, sewing will not be a focus of this camp so that everyone can succeed.

As a yoga teacher and an art teacher at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Ms. Meghan is dedicated to helping people find thier creative voice in a way that is joyful and calm.

This camp meets Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 14 from 1 to 4 and is for ages 5 and up. The cost for the week is $150.
