The Arts have a pivotal role to play as we emerge into our post-pandemic lives. Whether we consider ourselves artists or not, this is an opportunity to plant fertile creative seeds, reconnect with our resilient selves, make art together, support, and be supported.
For anyone gearing up to create this Fall, come experience artist-to-artist, objective, non-directorial feedback. This structure, called Fieldwork, provides a safe space to learn what your audience sees, feels, and hears in response to your work.
Artists are encouraged to bring works-in-progress that are ready to share for feedback. Works of all genres and stages of development welcome. All backgrounds and abilities are welcome. Eating lunch during the workshop is also welcome! For questions, email Ilana at firstname.lastname@example.org
Ilana moved to Kansas City from DC in the Spring of 2017. Her goal as a dance artist is to connect with others through movement, through performance, arts healing practices, interdisciplinary collaborations, and relationships. Her career has taken her in many directions from Georgetown Hospital’s Arts and Humanities Program to feminist punk rock dance band Tia Nina to the artist services organization, The Field. Locally, she has taught for Arts & AGEing KC, Turning Point KC, and the InterUrban ArtHouse. Ilana earned an MFA in Dance from The George Washington University, and a BA in Dance and Environmental studies from Denison University. Ilana is passionate about making dance accessible to all and facilitating insightful conversation about art. ilanaspace.com
